Case #7002
Face/Neck Lift
A woman in her 50s who had maintained her skin for years with skincare and nonsurgical treatments underwent a brow lift, deep-plane face and neck lift, lip lift, and facial fat transfer to address jowling and midface descent.
Not every result has to be dramatic. This patient, a woman in her 50s, had invested in herself for years — consistent skin care and regular nonsurgical treatments — and it showed. More recently she noticed jowling and descent of her facial volume, changes that injectables and radiofrequency devices cannot correct because they originate in the deeper structures of the face. Dr. Azadgoli performed a brow lift, deep-plane face and neck lift, lip lift, and autologous fat transfer to the face. Her jawline is more defined, her midface is better supported, and she simply looks refreshed.

Why this approach
The decisions that shaped this surgical plan.
- Multiple components staged into a single session — sequence and operative time planned so each step gets the time it needs without compromising the others.
Pre-op preparation
What to do before surgery. Specific to this case.
- Stop NSAIDs, aspirin, and high-dose fish oil two weeks before surgery; the surgical team provides a full medication list at the pre-op visit.
- No nicotine for 6 weeks before through 6 weeks after surgery. The vascular impact directly affects skin healing.
- Sleep elevated for the first week. Stock the kitchen with low-sodium soft foods, since chewing comfort and salt-driven swelling both matter early.
- A driver is required the day of surgery and a responsible adult should stay with you the first 24 hours.
- Combination cases have longer assisted-recovery needs. Two-week help-at-home window is the working assumption.
Recovery timeline
Milestones specific to this case. Individual recovery varies.
- Day 1–7
Sleep elevated, gentle cold therapy, and quiet voice for the first 3 days. Bruising peaks midweek; swelling is at its most visible.
- Week 2
Stitches removed, residual bruising fading, social comfort returns. No lifting, no straining, no exercise yet.
- Week 4
The "I look like myself again" milestone for most. Camera comfort returns. Light cardio and yoga added back.
- Week 6
Recovery sequenced around the longest-component procedure. Full clearance may extend to week 8.
- Month 3
Final swelling resolves on the deeper tissue planes. Most aesthetic refinements emerge between months 3 and 6.
- Month 6
Reconstruction or combo result reaches its mature appearance. Any planned refinement step is timed for this window.
